Server 4 Move DNS Updates (September 26 2007)

The move of server 4 has been completed and things appear to be going good on it as we've observed for the last day.

Here is the IP information resellers need to use and update their name servers to point to:

NS1: 74.86.113.11
NS2: 74.86.115.239

Beg pardon, but this is a crock. I've been unable to access any services from my home network since the changeover started, and any attempts to get further information from Support were met with an unvarying "The transfer is not complete. Once the transfer is complete the domains will start working fine. Your patience on this matter is much appreciated.". This was as recent as 09/26/07 01:16:52 AM, so I'm not sure just what might be meant by "going good" for the last day.

Note that this is not merely a specific account configuration problem. I am unable to ping or traceroute to the new or 74.86.115.239 IPs from home (the traces fail in the datacentre one hop prior to the new box). Most other external traceroutes and proxies seem to have no trouble, although at least one other fails similarly. I have been unable to get Support to perform a simple traceroute back to my home machine (and traceroute is disabled within CPanel even if I could access it, so I'm unable to do it myself). I don't feel it is unreasonable to be informed if there are known general problems with the new setup, or some indication of their nature or ETA, but apparently Support feels otherwise, or is unwilling to admit their own lack of knowledge.

David,
It looks like your being blocked by the new servers firewall. Our firewalls ban IP's after 5 login failures to the server. Once your 5 failures are up, the server will block you and not allow you to connect to the server. This was resolved in the ticket you had opened.

We do this to ensure clients sites are not at risk as no one would want someone else sitting their trying to guess their password all day.
John
