- Will you place ads on my site?
We will not place any ads on your site.
- Are there any setup fees?
There are NO setup fees for shared or reseller accounts.
- What happens if I exceed my space and bandwidth limit?
Once you occupy 80% of your accounts allocated space/bandwidth you (as well as us) as notified by an automatic email message that alerts you. In this email it states your using 80% of the space or bandwidth. Shortly after you get this email, another email will be sent from us giving you the different options you have. Your options are to upgrade to another plan or to upgrade to a custom plan.
- Can I have cron jobs?
Yes you are allowed to have cron jobs and they are easily setup with the click of a button.
- Does dotServing support PHP? ASP? ASP.net?
We do support PHP and ASP files types. MySQL databases are also allowed
however we do not have any ASP.net support.
- How long does it take for my account to be setup?
The average account creation time is about 17 minutes from start to finish.
By the time you accept the terms of service to the time you have your login information in your hand is usually around 17 minutes depending on the volume of signups received.
- What are the server specs? Processor? Ram?
Each of dotServing's servers have a minimum of 2.4 GHZ processing power, as well as a
minimum of 1GB Ram.
- Do you support Frontpage Extensions?
Yes Frontpage extensions are installed on all of our servers.
- How much is it per additional GB bandwidth?
Additional bandwidth can be purchased at the rate of $0.50 per
GB bandwidth. If you purchase in bulk amounts the cost decreases on the per gb scale.
- Do you have cPanel?
Yes all servers have cPanel installed on them for usage.
- Can I have a dedicated IP for my shared account?
Yes dedicated IP addresses are avaliable. The cost per IP is $3.00 a month.
- Do you backup my websites?
Yes! Each server is equipped with multiple hard drives to store backups. Every day your site is backed up and store on the backup hard drive. Then once a week we will move everything from the backup hard drive onto our remote backup server. This means we have every site backed up twice, but remember you are the one responsible for your site and we suggest you maintain a backup of your site as well!
